What We Believe
Covenant Presbyterian Church of Hatboro is a Reformed and Evangelical Congregation. We are engaged in seeking to KNOW CHRIST through studying his Word. Our desire before God is to LIVE CHRIST in every area of our lives as individuals, families and as a part of our community. Our study of God’s Word and the rich fellowship we share as a faith community strengthens us to MAKE CHRIST KNOWN at home, with everyone we meet and, around the world through mission enterprises.
Our final rule in all matters of faith and practice is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. Additionally we subscribe to historic, Reformed doctrines as summarized in the Westminster Standards.
- God’s Word is infallible and necessary for salvation
- Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ of God who came to redeem fallen mankind from sin
- The death of Jesus Christ was the full and complete payment for the sins of mankind and, faith in him alone is required for our justification before God and our eternal salvation
- The Church is the assembly of the redeemed on earth and is called by God to preach the whole counsel of God and to worship him only as he has prescribed in his Word
- Every believer is called by God to bear testimony to the saving work of Jesus Christ in their life
